Which IHA do you need?
For breeders and dog owners:
Use IHA for Breeders/ Dog Owners
The Innate Health Assessment is designed to support responsible breeding by checking that any dog being considered for breeding is suitable to breed from in terms of their innate health characteristics. Complete this full assessment if you wish to obtain an IHA certificate for your dog to show their IHA score.
Dog owners who are not currently considering breeding from their dog may still want to undertake this full version of the IHA to inform themselves about their dog’s innate health and obtain an IHA certificate.
For current and prospective dog owners, professionals and companies:
Use the Quick Check IHA
This quick check version of the IHA allows you to quickly run any dog through the IHA criteria to check if the dog shows any of the extreme conformation traits tested by the assessment. This version does not provide users with a pass certificate at the end and does not require any personal/ breeder information to be provided. It can be used by Licensing Officers when carrying out breeder licensing checks, current dog owners to learn about what body conformations are extreme, prospective puppy/ dog owners when considering which dog they should get and by companies/ advertisers who plan to use a dog in their media or marketing and want to ensure that the dog they choose has good innate health characteristics.
